I chose Big Apple because they were polite on the phone, they offered financing, and I would get a discount for being a AAA member. The office/waiting area was really clean and tidy. The receptionist was very polite, kept me up to date with my car, and always had a smile on her face. I came in to Big Apple to get my alternator replaced and they did it under 2 hours. I had my mom wait with me and we just walked across the street to the Del Taco for lunch. I gave the receptionist my number in case we weren't back before my car was done. The owner was warm and direct with everything without being rude. The mechanic I talked to after my car was finished (I really wish I remembered his name) was very nice and knowledgeable as well. Everyone I came in contact with at Big Apple was so nice and professional.I got my car back and she drove beautifully. Everything felt so right after they did work on her. I'm extremely protective of my car and I would definitely take her back to Big Apple. They're all the way out there on Highway 18 in Apple Valley but the drive from Victorville is so worth it to me! They told me everything else looked good and they just had to replace my alternator. I feel like a lot of other places would have found more "problems" just to get more money out of you. Maybe that's just my experiences...The only negative I can think of is that the building was a bit hard to spot at first. It's behind the Bank of America and I was expecting it to be closer to the street. If you know the shop is behind the bank, then it's easier to find.
